Union is a puzzle game based on the board game Set. The goal of the game is to match three cards on the board that form a Union. Matched cards are taken off the board and new cards are dealt in their place. There are 81 cards in total and the game goes on until all the cards are gone.

How do I match cards?

Each card in the deck has four properties:

Three cards form a Union if each of these properties are individually either three of a kind, or three different kinds.

For example, three cards could form a set if one is red, one is green and one is blue, or if each is blue, but not if two cards are red and one is blue. The other properties must satisfy the above requirement too, but some traits could be three of a kind, while other traits could be three different kinds. You can mix and match.

Another way to state the rules is that three cards cannot form a Union if either of the four properties have one value on two cards and another on the third.
